Hi
I am cutting my resume down from 3 pages to 1. (I work in software and at least in the past, it was populate to list a lot of skills and such).
I have the following situation: I worked at Company A and moved to Company B. Soon after I started, Company B was planning to close the office in our state, and it happened that Company A was trying to get me to go back, so I went back to Company A. As I am real short on space, should I leave the resume as
Date C-->D Position A, Company A
Date B-->C Position B, Company B
Date A-->B Position A, Company A
or instead do something like:
Date C-->D, Date A-->B Position A, Company A
Date B-->C Position B, Company B
If the best solution is to choose to list all three, as role and accomplishments are essentially the same, do I have to duplicate them?
Thanks!
BJC
Do the first one
List it as 2 separate entries. I'm presuming you have separate accomplishments for each time you were at Company A. You need to show chronologically what happened. If the recruiter works in the area, they probably know the office closed, so they'll look at the resume and understand why you jumped and then jumped back. But leave it clear what you accomplished at each specific period of time at the company.

Thank you for the reply.
Thank you for the reply. I am struggling to get my resume to one page, from three. I have had 11 jobs since graduating, as "contracting' was populate in IT where I lived back in the late 90s.
