Does anyone here use the SMART process for setting goals? I am looking for comments. If you use it will there be a podcast in the near future? SMART stands for: Specific Measurable Acceptable Realistic Time frame Thanks, Steve

Yes, Steve, we covered smart goals generally in our coaching casts last year.

We use them all the time in our org, slighly modified,

Specific, Measurable, Acheivable, Relative (to job, organisation etc) and Timely.

We generate a lot of training reports and each identified weakness must be accompanied by remedial action ie SMART action.

In delegating or tasking, each assignment is SMART.
