My new manager has requested feedback on her performance via email and having listened to the manager tools podcast about this topic i am unsure of the best course of action.
Any tips or suggestions would be great,
Many thanks,
Steven

Everything I remember from the podcasts was pretty clear. Don't give your boss feedback. Not sure of the best way to get out of it. But tread very carefully.

Yeah thats pretty much what i did.
It was a direct request via email so i really didnt want to create unnecessary static by saying that i wasnt going to give her feedback.
She's been a really good boss so far so i didnt have any issues.
With a good relationship and some care, I sometimes note what effects certain behaviors have on me, akin to the peer feedback model. I specifically couch it in "here's one thing working well or not so well in supporting me getting stuff done for you" with a request on how I can further adjust to fit how things are right now.
Definitely in the "other 10% of the time" type of advice though!

There's a cast for that. You can't use the feedback model. Tell her all the things she's doing well. That's good information for her.
