Licensee Call Winter 2012

Mark talks about wearing a trench, flipping the collar up, and not carrying an umbrella because these things befit a gentleman. How do you learn these sorts of things?

I've read a number of articles/blogs on fashion, but nobody seems to talk about the old rules any more. And I'd rather read a book. I'm not that interested in whether they still apply or not; I'm just interested in learning about them.

Anyone know how Mark picked up his gentlemanly training? I can't remember the exact title of the book once recommended on fashion, but I couldn't find a copy as it seems out of print now. (Edit: It was Dress for Success. I follow the blog, but still can't find the book).

Go to amazon and search a few key words, stuff comes up. Two good ones I've read are: "Gentleman: A Timeless Guide to Fashion" by Roetzel and "Dressing The Man: Mastering the Art of Permanent Fashion" by Flusser.

I believe "Dress for Success" is out of print because it was quite 80's specific - that's what I've been able to gather, could be wrong.

What was the thing with the umbrella? I've never heard that.
