Just had to share the happiness. I successfully was able to get one of my DR's a promotion and (significant) raise this week. If not for constant communication and good documentation - both things I learned here - his promotion would not have happened.
I can honestly say that his promotion is one of my favorite moments in management. It's the culmination of working with an employee and seeing him grow into a bigger role. Not sure who was happier when he got his letter yesterday...

I haven't had that chance yet, but someday, I want to have that same feeling. Just another proof that MT recommendations really work!

It is a lot of hard work, but it was really worth it. I've been also working on justifying the hire of a long term contractor that's looking promising. Success seems to beget success and I'm finally starting to see the fruits of my labor.
It's a very rewarding feeling.
