First day at new job, tomorrow.

After searching for for months, I start my new role tomorrow.

I won't list all the useful MT podcasts, because that would be the whole catalog.

The advice that stuck in my head are :

Until you have an offer, you have nothing.   - so true, and at one point I had met with 6 people over 4 interviews, a phych test and an aptitude test, over 11 weeks and was not successful.  In the final weeks, being prepared for a 'no thank you' really help when it hit.

Go back through you roles and get every accomplishment down on paper.  - I pretty much never stopped remembering new accomplishments, or found a way top make them relevant.  Writing them down on cards was very useful, I didn't quite follow the advice, but close.   I'll be keeping these cards and next time will be much easier.

You cannot have enough energy in an interview.   -  This was not a natural thing for me to do, but I know I have energy about stuff I'm knowledgeable about, so that the frame of mind I got myself into.  Eyebrows.

Practice you 'about yourself' story, out aloud.  -  I had a long and a short version, and I said them every day.

There was also one particular cast about being long term unemployed, which resonated during some quiet weeks.  -  Have a system, have a routine, you job is to find work.

Also, anyone I contacted to during my search I did my best to connect on linkedin.

All in all, I'm not surprised the MT Career casts were helpful, and I'll be maintaining my subscription.  Money well spent.

Congratulations MJoyce! I'd love to hear how your new role is going.
I'm starting a new position at a Fortune 1000 company in a few weeks and I echo the effectiveness of the MT podcasts. The interviewing series has been the best investment I made in the process. I received numerous compliments on my resume and feedback that my answers (well practiced) to the the behavioral interviewing questions were outstanding.
Thanks again to Mike and Mark for making me better!
