Question: I got a LinkedIn request from vendor we've been working with and got wondering what people's criteria are for who to network with and who not to on LinkedIn, especially with vendors. MT suggests recruiting indiscriminately, but maybe there are special considerations with vendors?
In the case of this vendor, I haven't really worked with him and their product hasn't been very successful.
Any feedback would be helpful!

I link to everyone I can
I don't *read* any of their updates, and I don't post updates myself, but the more people you're linked to the more people you can see at one remove, and you can see the links between various people better. Also, I feel like I'm working towards a high score in a game or something... Linkemon...
Why not!
I use LinkedIn as my address book. I don't see the harm and it's always wise to network with vendors. You would be surprised at how much they know and can add to your knowledge base.
