LinkedIn summary and Work/Family balance

 Hello,

In my LinkedIn summary, I put the following sentence :

"

I believe that the digital age we are entering is a very exciting period, requiring high skilled managers able to

- (...)

- (...)

- manage personal energy and priorities, to bring the most value while preserving a sustainable work/family balance

- (...)
"

One good friend of mine told me I should not write that, because it would be perceived as "this guy does not want to work too much". I can understand his point of view, but I also think that someone who does not "understand" that should not be a good employer

Precision : i work in France, and in France the fact to stay late at work is often seen as good (people tend to oppose the private sector where people work hard with the public one where nobody works...good versus evil...how dumb !)

=> what's your opinion ?

Thanks a lot
Laurent

Agreed, never on the resume.  It's probably not bad on the LI profile, but it doesn't do you any favors.
I've reviewed probably 1000 resumes in the last 2 months.  A grand total of 3 had objective or summary lines that reflected very positively on the application.  30% were so bad I rejected the person before reading further. The rest didn't help, but didn't significantly hurt the applicant.
