Summary: I need suggestions for Metrics for my new job as engineering manager
I changed companies and am now a manager of an engineering department. My situation was well put by Mark in "first 90 days. your job": No real urgent problems to solve, good team, we do engineer for customers, every request is different, tough to measure.
My bosses job for this year is to make the production more efficient and only one of my team is assigned on this job. I can not spare more resources on this and would like to suggest at least one more good metric.
