Why is DISC always spelled with a lower-case "i" on the MT Forums?
It's "i" in the official profile information, and in all of inscape's materials. So that's the "correct" spelling. I didn't find why they did it that way, but it could go all the way back to Marston's original book.
No offense, but the first hit I got on Googling "lowercase i disc" gave me the answer I already knew, and I could swear we talked about somewhere in the forums or wherever.
Ironicly, I just Googled "lowercase i disc" and all I get is a link to Mark's post above.
It would appear that Mark has poisoned the Google well.
Try again - the google search is working fine; that sounds like you did the search restricted to the m-t site.
Also keep in mind that different people can get different google results, even for back-to-back searches. Safe search alone can change answers, and if you have desktop and web history enabled, you'll see search results evolve.
It'll be more consistent if you're logged out, but it will change over time as the google servers crawl around.

Why the small "i" in DiSC?
Could be a trademark thing like how spam and SpaM aren't trademarks but SPAM and Spam are (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spam_(food)#Email_spam)?
Stephen
Edited to add: After following Mark's advice and using Google, it looks like I was correct, it's a trademark (albeit an accidental one): http://www.profiles4u.com/what-is-disc-profile.asp

It used to be, "you could look it up."
Now, it's, "you could Google it."
Happy New Year all,
Mark
Why the small "i" in DiSC?
I didn't use that exact phrase when searching and never ran across the answer. I tried again and found it.
My curiosity has been settled. Thanks.
I'm still catching up on the casts so if it was mentioned, I must have either not gotten there yet or missed it.
We can all learn from the example. Roll with your errors. It's not the end of the world. :)
Poisoned well

Okay. I figured it out. I misinterpreted Mark's use of quotes.
If I search for lowercase i disc, I get the results everyone else gets.
I searched for "lowercase i disc". This only returns Mark's post.

Now when I search without the quotes, I get right back to this thread again, and nothing else on my first results page looks like it pertains to DiSC.
Why the small "i" in DiSC?
Using the phrase Mark provided, I found the answer on the second page of results from the google search. Now it shows up #1.
Make sure you spell lowercase without a space between "lower" and "case". That's where I was going wrong.
