Hello All, This Thursday I have an interview with my first-choice for grad school. The interview is to see if I qualify to skip the GMAT exam. Any suggestions on preparation for this interview? What would your closing question be? Also, I have a low under-grad GPA (2.3) but a strong resume. How should I handle the questions about my under-grad (under)performance? TIA

Your answer about your undergrad GPA depends on the reason for it.

Simply explain why: "I was interested in [ other thing ] and didn't study as much as I could have. I've learned while advancing in my career [ whatever you learned], and I'm very excited about grad school."

There was a reason, and it made sense at the time. Explain your thinking.

Thank Jhack,

What would you recommend for a closing question?

Don't close with a question. Close with what you want them to do: "I'd like to be accepted into your management program."

thanks again for the advice. i was accepted to the MBA program without the need to take the GMAT.

if grad school is half as informative as mike/mark's tools it'll be worth the time, effort, and $.
