Greetings all!

My name is Adam... I stumbled across this site and have been throughly impressed with your podcasts. Excellent knowledge and skills presented consicesly!

I'm the Communications Commander for our local EMS agency (Austin-Travis County EMS). We are the sole provider of 9-1-1 ambulance service for the City of Austin and Travis County.

Pardon my naivety about your type of work; as Communications Commander, do you work in the 911 call center?

Yes sir... I manage the day to day operations of our 9-1-1 Communications Center. I have 5 floor supervisors under me who oversee 35 EMT's and Paramedics that are working in the capacity of 9-1-1 call-takers.
