In the "1st Anniversary Cast" you talk about the huge cost of bandwidth.
Here's just a thought. You could look into using bittorrent technology for distributing podcasts and/or archived podcasts.
Keep up the good work!
Cost of bandwidth & bittorrent
Thanks ... great suggestion! Up until now, I've wondered whether we have the distribution/usage to make bittorrent reasonably efficient. Perhaps it's time to reconsider!
thanks,
Mike
Another Option
I'm guessing that the same types of people who are into podcasting also know how to use bittorrent, so that's a possibility. :D
I know another podcast uses the services provided by cachefly (www.cachefly.com) maybe that's an option?
Also, if a podcast was distributed as a torrent, is it possible to download the .torrent file automatically through an rss feed? Or would it have to be downloaded manually?
