I am relocating to a new area and am looking for a position as an associate attorney. While some law firms do post specific openings, many others give only requirements (resume, law school transcript, cover letter, writing sample) and a person to whom the materials should be addressed.
Can anyone give guidance on how I should be targeting my cover letter to a firm for which I have no job description? I am not sure how to demonstrate my skills would be useful for the business in specific terms.
