Is it better to be interviewed first, last or in between?

I have a phone interview coming up and having listened to the podcast about how the recruiters can get tired of listening I really make sure I have high energy.

Thank you,
Kevin

The consensus seems to be on going last, at least for face-to-face interviews.

It really doesn't matter enough to spend any energy on manipulating the order (and why would you be given the ability anyway?).

Focus on preparing to talk about YOU.

About the order. Sometimes I'm given the option of dates. I figure if I'm too early in the process they may forget who I am (hard as that is to believe). I thought the later you interviewed the more you would be remembered - fresher in their minds.

In a phone interview they may be interviewing 10 people and it can get a little confusing.

That's where I was headed.
Thank you,
Kevin

Kevin,

10 mediocre candidates = difficulty in remembering. That's why we make notes.

9 mediocre candidates and one stand out, energetic, well prepared, inspiring, amazing MT candidate. No trouble at all with the remembering even after a month.

As Mark says, focus on being the one candidate that stands out, and don't worry about things you can't change.

Thanks Wendii.

The wilderness is a little less lonely today!
