This item from Exec Tools "The One on One Bulletin" from 05APR23 resonated for me more than most.
Paraphrasing Mike: Do an O3 bulletin then go ask the rank & file "what do you know about [the bulletin's topic]?"
"And you'll find out that, more frequently, in your best organizations the people at the bottom will know what's going on and in the worst parts of your organization they won't.
And that is not a problem with the people doing the work, that is a management problem!"
And it's frustrating at times being an M-T manager surrounded by non-M-T managers. I see it every day, but quips like this bring the differences into sharp relief.
