Is there any additional advice if my boss is also a high C?

I like the cast "Managing a High C - Dangers".   Direct is high high C and so is my manager.  Some of the direct tasks are taking forever.  For example, there was a task that I thought it would take a week.  It has taken over 3 months!!  I have 1o1, give feedback.   However, "don't you want it to be ..."  Just to show the point, I spent 30 minutes stitching together what we already have (e.g. nothing new)to get a 90% solution that does everything it is supposed to but not "perfect".  The problem is that my manager supports the being perfect part and believes that the additional quality for this demo does take extra time.  No one externally will see the implementation.

Do I just let it go?
