Hi --
I have an interview coming up. One of the reasons I'm thinking of leaving my current organization is that I don't believe we're being managed well and I don't see hope of change.
I'd hate to just move to another poorly-managed organization. While it's inappropriate to inquire about my interviewers' opinions on management, what are some things I can listen for that might help me gauge the environment?
Thanks!
What does Success Look Like?
I like asking What Does Success In This Position Look Like? You can get a lot from how they answer it:
-- Do they sound like a micro-manager "do as you are told, toe the line, etc"?
-- Are they coaching/supporting "formulates plans, meets objectives, focuses on the customer, etc"?
-- Are they managing at all; can they actually answer that question?
