I've been asked as part of my new role to look at implementing a job shadowing program to help with employee career growth, aid in professional development and to improve morale.
Has anyone here been part of a job shadowing program before or run one yourself? What in your mind leads successful job shadowing? What measures were in place to ensure a program is successful and improves over time? How did you ensure you were focussing on the right people? It's also important to me that this isn't simply a burden on the staff being shadowed and there are noticeable gains for both sides in terms of delivering potential trained staff members ready to step into teams looking to grow.
