Should I inform a reference (who is not my boss and works in my same department) that I received a job offer? My predicament is that in the podcast titled, "Sharing References" it says to let your references know when "you've either accepted or you know you're out of the loop" but in part 3 of the podcast on resigning it says to "tell no one no matter what" and that the boss gets to decide. What do you recommend? Thank you.
