I'm an hourly, entry level, employee at a large company. I want to resign professionally and have reviewed the "How to resign" podcast. At the beginning of the cast there is a slight disclaimer that it may not apply to hourly employees so I'd like to know what the differences are in how an hourly employee should resign.

I am planning to remove all of my information from my work computer and create a delegation/overview of my responsibilities spreadsheet for my managers. I am only able to give a 1 week notice because my manager has a reputation of walking people out the door on the spot.

Am I taking the correct precautions? How would you want an hourly direct to resign? What do you wish you knew when you were in an entry level role and you resigned?

All advice is much appreciated!
