Hello from Westen Australia

Hi Everyone,

I have been listening to Manager Tools and Career Tools for four years now, this is the first time I have taken the time to post to the forums.

I'm a country high school Business Manager (or what some others refer to as a Registrar) in rural Western Australia.  We are a small school of just over 150 students specializing in middle education.

My job is a niche one in the Australian education sector - in a nutshell we are responsible for everything outside of curriculum and teaching, including things as diverse as finance, building management and industrial relations, plus many more.

I have direct management responsibility of about 15 staff and Manager Tools especially has helped me develop in this role, as previous to this I worked in a non managerial position.

I am fairly unique in my field due to being a male, in what is primarily a female dominated industry.

I just wanted to say G'day and thanks to the Manager Tools team for putting out such great content on a regular basis without fail.  I love the no BS approach of all the team and think the total commitment to ethics and professionalism is without peer.

In case anyone is interested, I have been DISC tested and I'm a high D.

My wife tends to agree with this assessment too.. but I just can't see it a lot of the time...
