Hello all, I am Steve P. I am a General Manager in a Government Agency in Australia and I am currently managing a corporate area that includes finance, HR, IT and Public Relations.
I have a MBA (Executive) from the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) and a BA in Public Administration.
Here is a link to the AGSMhttp://www2.agsm.edu.au/agsm/web.nsf/Content/Home
Over the past 26 years (wow that makes me feel really old) I have managed criminal investigators (as a member of the Australian Federal Police), lawyers, and a headquarters group of 70 staff who in turn managed a $(Aus)100m fully cost recovered government service delivery program related to border security.
I have been listening to MT for nearly a full year and have found it to be an excellent reference point. I am using the material to develop my current managers, as well as referring the site to a number of associates.
I am keen to learn from fellow managers and hope that I can add some insight from my experiences.
:)

Glad you're with us. Your experience sounds extensive, and we look forward to hearing from you.
And if anyone gives you a hard time, send that picture to them in an email. ;-)

Wow.
Steve I am glad you could catch up with Mike in DC. Must have been great stuff happening to have impressed him to mention in todays podcast.
26 years is a lot of time. Lot to learn.
Regards
Karthik.
