Hello, my name is Andrew. I'm new to Manager Tools; I stumbled across the podcast probably 3 weeks ago and was really excited to listen through the Basics. I've been a manager for 4 years, and often still wonder what I'm doing and how I'm supposed to do it. I'm interested in rolling out the Trinity, but nervous to start so I'm still soaking up some of the podcasts. I've seen so many managers roll out ideas and initiatives and not follow through, and I don't want to fall into that trap, so I'm trying to be very intentional about how I approach Manager Tools.
I was in the exact same situation you were a few years ago when I found MT. It seemed daunting to implement at the time. Part of me knew it was the right thing to do. It gets easier once you get the hang of it. I'm still not as good at feedback as I'd like to be and there are days when I still don't want to do O3's.
Keep us posted on your journey. Everyone here is in the same boat and has the same focus on top-notch management. I've found the feedback here both professional and insightful. Come back whenever you need advice and Godspeed!
Thank you for the warm
Thank you for the warm welcome and encouragement.
Take it slow
Hello fellow Minnesotan! Well I used to live there but finally moved south.
Just take it slow and start with scheduling one on ones if you haven’t yet. Single most important thing you can do.
