BLUF:
How do you deal with a boss who wants to be friends and you really can't stand him.
My boss is a friendly fellow, but a bit needy. There are clear advantages to being his friend career wise but I would struggle bridging any friend gap. He is an older fellow, alienated from his wife and children. He's quite the open book.
At what point does creating positive relationships turn into weekends at his place drinking or going out to play badminton or ping pong.
At the senior to executive level, do the VP's establish close and friendly relationships like the above example?
