As part of my job as Creative Director, I am tasked with being responsible for all creative assets my team creates and publishes. I review their work and give feedback on a daily basis.

After listening to the feedback podcasts, it's as if I should stop, and give only positive feedback for awhile, and then work in negative feedback...

But this doesn't quite feel right.  Am I taking things too literally? Am I actually micromanaging my team by having to give sign-offs on their work before it is published? How do you balance the two or make the feedback model work for you when part of your job is to give feedback/edits/direction on their work product.
