Facilitating/Mediating a workshop

 Hi everyone,

I've been asked to look at how my group can facilitate a workshop regarding a rather contentious matter between my larger organization and our corporate headquarters. (without getting into too much detail, it has to do with consolidating some IT infrastructure while maintaining separate support/operations responsibilities)

I've acted as a mediator before, and I think we need an independent third party to help us look at the issues in a dispassionate way. We need to find common ground and ultimately a solution - I'm too close to our local support group to act in that role.

Not sure if this is up Mark or Mike's alley, or if anyone out there knows of someone who can help. I'd actually prefer someone NOT technical - there is enough technical knowledge in the room, we need someone that can facilitate a discussion, look at the business needs, and help guide us to our own decision.

Any suggestions?
