Hi all,
Many thanks for any advice you can give me on this issue. I really like “the close” concept but I am wondering what I should do in this situation:
If I am already asked by the business “why do you want to work here?” then surely that is the majority of what I would say in the close anyway. So do I repeat myself? Or give two separate but reinforcing answers, or simply leave the close as I have already stated my case?
I work in the non-profit sector, and this question I have found is really common. I have an interview on Thursday, any advice previous to this would be gratefully received!
Best,
John

Yes: close
In the close, you say "I want an offer, and here's why." It's that "I want an offer" part that's key. And while you may have told them during the interview why you want to work there, there might be conversation that happens later in the interview that you could use to finish the close.
Thanks thats useful, feels
Thanks thats useful, feels instinctively right too, I should therefore try and draw some other elements from the discussion maybe, summarise my skills and their attributes and use that to form the close,
Cheers
