conflict with interview date

 I have been asked to interview next Friday with my previous company. I am meant to be in training all next week. Should I ask for another date or skip the Friday of training? Knowing my old company, they are pulling people from different geographical areas and they most likely are only interviews 2-3 people on one day.

The training class is important, but not critical.
