It does feel like jumping off a cliff .. :D
I closed a BSchool interview recently,. The interviewer answered my last question and was about to get up when I realized that this is the moment. ..would have almost missed it. The confidence boost after the closing was great..
Lessons learnt: 1. work on delivery 2. smile more <-- smiling at the right moment seemed to deliver greater emphasis on the point I was making
Cant wait for the next opportunity to try it again.
question: has anyone used it in a non-interview setting ....like in a school reception when the adcom director is answering your questions one-on-one? or when you stop by a director's office on a school visit?

Closed - first time!
Congratulations!
Glad it went well... and you will get better. First time's always hard.
