I've always believed that strong and prosperous capitalism is completely dependent upon a high level of competence retained and exercised by its leading participants. Capitalism is greatly weakened by a reduction of competence.

In theory, sure...
...but in practice, it takes hard work. It's boring, disciplined, unpretty, unsexy...and it works. But (almost) nobody's teaching it.
