I've come to terms with the fact that I could use some serious help with effectively navigating office politics.  If you had only one book you could recommend on the topic, what would it be?  PS, I "get" office politics on an intellectual level quite well - it's the "knowing-doing" gap that I can't seem to close.

Thank you in advance!

No modern book comes anywhere close.  They will tell you they are doing so, but they are too clever by half.  You don't have to be good at "poltics", as if politics is something shady or not entirely truthful.  You have to build relationships and maintain them.

It may seem simplistic...but it is ALL about DOING.

Love it - I need to go back and re-read it.  It's truly a classic, and sometimes in the race to read more & more books, I forget that sitting back and re-reading the best is often the more effective approach - whether it be Drucker, Carnegie, etc.

Thank you!
