Part 1 of our guidance on excelling at phone screen.
A phone screen is part of the hiring process which comes after the hiring manager has reviewed your resume, and before the interview. The purpose of a phone screen, from a recruiter's point of view is to get some basic details, check your resume is accurate, sometimes check your salary intentions, and finally, to find out if you have reasonable comprehension and communication skills in comparison to those required for the job. That said, though a phone screen is fairly basic, it is possible to shine.
