The conclusion of our series on why and how to get mentors for your directs.

Most managers under-develop their directs. That is to say, most managers do far less than we can to help our directs grow. There are all kinds of reasons. We’d say the two biggest reasons are we don’t know how, and we don’t have time. Having others mentor your directs addresses the latter issue. And why wouldn’t you want to be involved in who is mentoring your directs?

This Cast Answers These Questions

  • Can I get my directs a mentor, or recommend they do so?
  • How do I choose a good mentor for my directs?
  • Which of my directs should I get a mentor for?
