I know it's my fault that my one-on-one's with my team have turned into primarily status meetings. They will share some family/weekend activities, but that's with me asking. If they don't offer that does that mean their's a lack of trust? I don't think so, but it's a question. Am I worried needlessly or should I be doing something differently.
Talk about O3s in your O3
Have you tried asking the direct? You may want to reiterate the purpose and nature of O3s. It's entirely possible that your direct needs it to be a status report, or maybe they don't know what else to do based on other jobs. You won't find out if you don't ask.
Refresh
Hi Jim!
Here is a podcast that might be helpful. Every now and then O3s can use a refresh when we have been doing them for awhile. I hope this helps.
