Book Review

The author of this book is clearly fascinated with that strange band of weirdos who work in circuses and point chairs at lions, and it's full of anecdotes about the experiences of people who tame lions.  It's also actually really useful, with useful insights into how the behaviour of the people with the obvious power (the lions) is strongly influenced by fears and insecurities.  Perhaps the greatest insight from this book is that concept that "When the lion feels safe, they become able to help others."

I found this book very helpful when I needed help finding ways to work constructively with a dominating boss, and it remains relevant years later.
