Here’s how to make sure your organization knows what’s going on at your levels and above.

Executives attend all kinds of meetings. And yet for some reason, lots of new executives mistakenly think that meetings with more senior execs are somehow private, or meeting contents are embargoed. That’s not the case. Executives are expected to communicate downwards assertively. The lack of knowledge of organizational plans and changes is often caused by a lack of downward communication after these meetings. The link between the top and bottom of organizations is often broken by this failure to actively communicate. There’s a better way, and it’s easy to do.
