one of my direct report is afraid of one on one

Thank you for your show. I listen to them every day on my way to work. It just pumps me up.

I anounced today that I will start one on one meeting once a week with each of my directed reports. (I have 4 now, will be 5 next week).

One of my direct report was so upset that she was complaining to everyone about once a week is too often, its totally wast of her time..... bla bla bla.......

Then she came to told me that she wants witness and she wants to bring a union rep. to the meeting.

I told her that I don't care who she bring, its my meeting with her.

What is your sugestion?

Thanks,

Elsa

Give it time.

To me, it is best not to have the union rep there for the O3. Persuade your direct that the O3 really is about them and building a relationship. Should they decide at a later date a union rep is required leave it out there as an option.

I'm confident the union rep won't be required.

My boss call me today, and said that she likes my e-mail invitation for one on one meeting.
