One of the Premium Content links is incorrectly titled. Both links to the Premium Content are entitled 'The Starter Feedback Model Shownotes'.
Both links work correctly in that one of them links to the show slides, it's just the title of one of the links is incorrect.
Thanks, Mark.
Thanks, Mark.
Thanks for getting back to
Thanks for getting back to the essentials. I don't go back to the old casts as often as I should. Revisiting the trilogy brought some very helpful reminders.
Remote Feedback
Hi Mark & Mike,
Excellent show (as always), thanks.
I must say I agree with Mark Walsh, it's nice to talk about basics in a new light once in a while. It's true that there's a big bump in the road to implementing feedback. Thanks for your help in getting on that road. In light of what I've learned from you, I've set a clear objective (MT goal, if you will) with my boss re: giving feedback to my directs. Last year I focused on trust, via the 1:1, and I think it's worked out well (but I'm not the only judge...). This year feedback !
So, I turn to you with 2 questions.
BLUF:
1. Do you have any suggestions on how I can better observe my directs' behaviour remotely?
2. Do you have any suggestions on giving feedback remotely?
Background: I've listened to your discussions on matrix environments, and I too live in a matrix. In addition to that, 2 of my directs are on a remote site (~500km away, 3h trip) and so I don't directly see their work on a day-to-day basis, therefore I don't directly observe their behaviour either. This behaviour is what I should be using for their feedback.
Thanks for all the great shows !
