Thank you!!! I was laid off in 2008 and it has been a very hard 5-6 years. I haven't been anywhere steadily for more than 6 months (and I have an honors degree from an Ivy League university & 15 years experience). MT has been a rock of good advice (are you okay with that word yet, Mark?). The Interview Series was crucial in me getting several of those jobs (even if they didn't work out long term). As a high C-D, relationships were not (are not) my strong suit, but I have and continue to work on them. It doesn't come easy much of the time, but has paid dividends. In late April 2014 I began a new position as a VP at a major Investment Bank--an opportunity I never would have expected. It is only because of the work that I did on my relationships, coupled with so many other MT techniques and insights that this position came my way. My salary is 6 figures, the benefits are amazing, and I work on a great team. I'm far too battle weary to think everything is going to be perfect, but I finally feel like my career is on track. I have Manager Tools to thank for so much that I don't know where to start. You provided me tools, ideas, and perspective. More importantly, you gave me hope and confidence in myself during some of the most difficult times of my life. Thanks for all that you do. You have no idea what it has meant to me.
