Many folks mistakenly believe that our guidance here is focused on large corporations. It’s not - we stand by all of our guidance for every size of company, and government, and non-profits, and academia... any org, anywhere. This week we’re going to share our experience as an organization dealing with the pandemic. It’s the first time we’ve ever held ourselves out as an example. But it’s the first time the world’s organizations have ever been here.

During this time, we recommend serious cost cutting in your personal life. A recession could be coming, prepare now by making changes in your own personal finance budget to prepare for it. If you're thinking about the changes you can make to reduce costs and how to reduce personal spending, this cast will help with that.

Over the past couple of weeks our podcasts have centered around helping you manage your teams during the pandemic, and we continue that trend this week. There's more to think about as a manager/leader during this time of a global pandemic, and more to do than just Video One On Ones. It's time to ready ourselves, and our organizations, for what's to come.

We have, unfortunately, cancelled the Boston conference which was scheduled for April 7th and 8th. When we consider the recent rise in cases within Massachusetts and the restrictions placed on daily life by Governor Baker and Mayor Walsh in an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, this is the right thing to do for our attendees and the people of Boston.
We will be returning to Boston October 13-15, and those attendees who choose not to cancel and receive a refund can have their registration moved ahead to this, or any other, future conference. We may be adding an additional Boston event in the coming months, and if we do will share that with all.
We care about all of our friends, their families and colleagues in Boston, and wish them safety in the weeks ahead.

Yesterday, we released a brand new podcast with guidance on how to manage a team during a pandemic. You can listen to that podcast and/or read the shownotes (available to users with an account here at our website - it's free) here.
We have a motto at Manager Tools regarding our casts: "Timeless, not Timely." But COVID-19 calls for us to take special measures.
"Don't worry about what's going to happen. Think about what you're going to do. And communicate aggressively."
