Hi Manager Tools and guys,

I'm in an odd position, as a university student, should I buy the Career Tools license that is packaged with the Interview Series? My background situation is that I do work part-time, I'm not living paycheck to paycheck, I live with my parents, and I am in my third year studying marketing.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I would say yes. Not only will this help you find a job once you graduate, it will co ti ur to help you for years to come. It may even help you in class depending on the coursework you have.

David,

Take advantage of the bundle while it lasts!

Look at it this way -- the interview series normally goes for $150.  It's a steal at that price.   The Career Tools annual license is $165.

It's a buy one, get one free for all practical purposes.

Interview Series -- I've been on both sides of the desk -- interviewee and interviewer.  The podcasts make preparing for interviews a breeze.  You WILL ace any interview if you follow their guidance.     Interviewing a well prepared candidate is a treat for a hiring manager.  You stand out from the rest of the crowd.   More importantly, the interviewer can focus on the content of your message.   The result -- it's much easier to determine if you are truly the right person for the job -- which is kinda the goal here.

Career Tools -- As they say in the military, "Read (or listen) and Heed".   The information is clear, concise and relevant.  More importantly, their guidance is ACTIONABLE.   No tricks, no gimmicks -- you can listen one day and start putting the ideas to work for you tomorrow.   I didn't realize how much I was missing until I started looking at the show notes and slides for my favorite podcasts (the big thing you get with the License).

My opinion:  CT podcast = great.   (CT podcasts + slides + show notes + interviewing series) = (AWESOMELY GREAT) cubed.

It may seem like a lot of money to shell out at one time.  Consider it an investment in your future.

Good luck.

Bill

Yes. I'm a third year university student as well, only studying MIS instead of marketing. I found an internship last summer thanks in large part to Career Tools and the Interview Series.

I can't recommend it enough. Most days I would say the advice contained in the various MT products I find much more valuable than anything I learn in college coursework.
