We see lots of guidance which says 'start a blog as a way of getting known personally and professionally in your field'. Whilst this guidance can and does work for some, it's far to broad. Few exponents mention the downsides of creating a blog. So, before you do, here's why you shouldn't create a blog to boost your career.
