Podcast Awards 2009

The People's Choice Podcast Awards 2009 were announced on Saturday and the business category was won by NPR's Planet Money. We'd like to add our congratulations to all those that have gone to them.

We are very happy that Career Tools was nominated in the first year it was eligible and we're thrilled that our members both nominated and voted for us. Thank you!

Like every member, we're currently working on our personal and business goals for 2010 and we're already excited about podcast topics and additional services we have in the pipeline and ideas we have for later in the year. The Manager Tools team is looking forward to serving all our existing and new members even more in 2010.

Congratulations on being nominated!

...but congratulations to everyone involved in Career Tools on being nominated in your first year.  Well done.

The more surprising news to me that that the "flagship" cast - Manager Tools - went from being the overall People's Choice Award winner last year to not even being nominated in the business category this year.  To this outside observer that seems precipitous.  But maybe I'm missing something, like maybe there's a rule prohibiting two casts in the same category or something.

Anybody know?

Thank you for the congratulations. We're very happy with our nomination!

Just to put your mind at rest, there is a rule which says the People's Choice Winner from last year can't be nominated at all this year.

Next year.. a whole new story!
