PM O3's for Contract employees?

Is the OOO format for PM's also applicable for contract employees such as a 12 month contract.  I am not referring to a temp employee such as a 3-4 week engagement, but rather someone on a maternity leave backfill or similar situation.

My thought is that you still need the task-focused communication, and some of the relationship building, but not as much of the future development.  The PM OOO format seems to accomplish this.

Appreciate your opinion or guidance. 

PMO3s with Multiple Projects

I often work with several of the same colleagues on different projects that are all running concurrently. 

Have other PM's out there found it useful to have one combined PMO3 each week or to have different PMO3 meetings for each project?

Should I compress to 20 minutes and have more meetings?  Should I lengthen to 1 hour and discuss all projects?  Stick to the 30 mins and force only pressing schedule/task discussions?
