What We're About
While we are pretty focused on the nitty-gritty of management, we make no apology for our belief that management is a noble endeavor. And we think that Manager Tools is at our best when we both instruct the hands and inspire the heart.
A San Francisco conference attendee agrees:
I just wanted to send you guys a note and tell you how much the SF
conference has changed me. It may not have been necessarily the information covered in the conference, but it was the spirit. It was the experience. And most importantly it was what you guys are trying (and succeeding in)
when it comes to management. It inspired me to see people do what their
passion is, and be able to make such a difference in a world that puts
little into the profession.Since I have been back I have been re-energized in the business, and
implementing your techniques on calendar management have allowed me to get so much accomplished. And when you add the thought of the
Horstman Curve to what i am doing, it helps me keep pushing through
knowing that soon enough I will top over and then get to the 'sweet
spot'!Really, thank you for everything you have given me. Keep it up, and
keep inspiring others (and me too). Thanks
We'd love for you to join us at a conference...and we'd REALLY love for you to be a better manager.

Ditto to all of the above -- the content, energy and practicality of the trinity have given me a renew spirit in my office place -- and things are definitely looking up. The casts are awesome, yet being there in person with Mike and Mark -- truly amazing, an experience all listeners should have if available.

The SF conference was awesome. I think there was a standing ovation at the end. The spirit, energy, and generosity of the presenters, especially Mark mic'd all the time was great.
I've listened to all the podcasts, premium member, got my job from doing what the interview casts recommend. For me the central messages I got from the conference are - "It's not about you. It's about your directs. Be selfish, focus on your directs. Keep your head down, looking at your directs. Stop looking up so much and worrying about your boss. Do what is effective for the organization and for your directs.

Its funny that when I was starting out my goal was to become known as being great at: sales, marketing, finance, or operations.
Now, because of M&M, I view management as my profession and what I want to be known for.
Thanks Mike and Mark!

Do you still intend to hold an MT Conf in Melbourne in November.
I hope so because the response seems very positive.
