August 16th, 2007Thanks to quentindaniels, we’re having our first Chicago meet up tonight, 630 pm, at Leona’s in Des Plaines.
Here’s a GoogleMap. The phone number is (847) 759-0800.
I may be a few minutes late - I am with a client in Milwaukee and have to drive down. Please start the party without me!

Mark , you are awesome. Can you please recommend a REAL GOOD book I can read on writing effective emails and improving communication( verbal and written). I am not a native American and see this as a big opportunity for my personal development. Please respond…..

It was a pleasure to meet with Marc and all of you. Now when I listen to Podcast I am able to put a face to Marc’s voice. Special thanks to Ben for arranging the meeting .
I propose we should all meet up at least once a month to learn from each other and discuss other podcasts , our challenges, experiences etc.

It was great to meet everyone at the Chicago meet-up last night. Mark and all, thanks for making the time. It was good to get together with some other MT fans, but mostly it was terrific to get recommendations (from everyone) to real world situations.
See you all soon.

Hi Mike, I ended up checking this the day after and missed it! Another upgrade for your site could be to broadcast an email based on member zip codes for your meet-ups. But then again, maybe you mean for those to be rewarded who check daily

Jake,
A great idea … it’s unfortunate that way back when I made the decision NOT to collect address information on member registration. At the time, I though it might be a tad too much to ask of folks.
Perhaps not a great decision … I can now see at least ONE use for it!
