Manager Tools Milwaukee Meet-up
January 10th, 2007This is a long overdue post. We had the first ever Manager Tools Meet up in Milwaukee (alliteration unintentional) in November. There were about 10 people there, and we had a great time eating pizza and getting to know one another.
In the pictures below, I’m holding my phone up because Mike is on it on speakerphone, talking briefly with the group. In the second photo, member Phil Gerbyshak got a shot of him and me for his website. Phil was kind enough to share these two shots with us.

My schedule makes some of these visits easier, but also makes me less available for as many as we’d like. Nevertheless, Mike and I are committed to meeting more of you. And Mike will do some of these as well.
We’re committed to Washington DC/Northern VA, Chicago, Milwaukee and Tampa this year. We’ll probably also do one in Northern California, and Hartford CT. We haven’t ironed out all the details yet, but we’ll learn as we go. The purpose is meeting - the rest is ancillary.
I loved doing this first one, and appreciate the time that our member/guests took away from their families to join us.
Watch this blog for announcements of upcoming Meet Ups.
It’s a privilege to serve you, and a treat to meet you.

Any dates in Montreal coming up?

The M-T world tour! I can’t wait until you visit Northern California.

The weather in Sydney, Australia is certainly warmer at this time of year with a high of 91°F today. Think about it, then break the alliteration and do a Down Under Meetup.
Thanks for the great work so far

Hey while your Down Under don’t forget to visit your Manager-Tools followers in Melbourne (Victoria/Australia not Florida)….

Guys, if Mike and/or Mark travel all this way I think the least we can do is travel interstate to meet them
I know I’d fly down to Sydney (from Brisbane) for a meet-up.
Wishful thinking probably, but hey, its not a bad place for a vacation.

You said you were committed to Washington DC/Northern VA, Chicago, Milwaukee and Tampa this year. Any particular dates?

Can’t wait to have you come back to Milwaukee. I learned a lot from just our little meeting from you Mark and the rest of the participants. I promise I’ll take more pictures next time!

Ok, folks … for Washington, DC/Northern VA, how does Tuesday, January 23rd, 6pm-8pm sound to folks? Mark will be in town (and I live here), so if it works for folks, let’s plan on that.

Please take Europe into your plans. Brussels, Dusseldorf or Amsterdam.
Too good to be true ??

I think we’re going to try Europe as well. It’s harder to schedule, but certainly do-able!

I will get to Montreal, not sure when yet. Would like to do Australia, but it will cost $10,000 in lost billings… we’ll see.
Northern California will be in March. I am speaking in SF sometime that month, and Mike or I will announce it.

I’m new to manager-tools.com but (I know, I know never use but) I sure would like to see you guy’s in person the next time you visit Milwaukee. Get this, I am a Nursing Home Admin. and I am using your podcasts via Ipod sound system to intro my team to performance management. Thanks again, and always know you’ve got friends in Milwaukee. Tom

Tom-
We will have another Milwaukee meet up in April. I will get my schedule shortly and let everyone know.
And, please don’t be offended but your license on our casts doesn’t allow the re-broadcast. Sorry! It’s for personal use only. We’d ask that you have your directs come sign up.

Mark & Mike!
It’s only April 4th and I am thrilled that I haven’t missed the MKE meetup for April. I am a religious listener but only occasional visitor to the blogs, so if you do have a list serv or can include meet up dates in the emails for people like me that would be fantastic. I would LOVE to know when you’re coming. Please let me know if you need any planning assistance in the Milwaukee area.

PS- Mike you do an amazing job with the audio. You spoiled me. Now I will listen to mere seconds of other podcasts and if their audio quality isn’t as good as yours, I will often turn it off. (The Business Week Jack & Suzy Welch podcast is a GREAT example) You could have tech spinoff just for podcasts. You guys absolutely rock!
(Yes, I am a high-I sales person. I like exclamation points!)
