Milwaukee November 28th Meet Up

November 27th, 2006

While it is last minute notice, I’m able to go through with our planned meet up in Milwaukee this coming Tuesday evening, November 28th, at 7 pm. I’m sorry it’s late, but this is a client trip and I take those responsibilities seriously.

We will meet at Pizzeria Piccola, 7606 W. State St. Milwaukee (actually, Wauwatosa).
Phone: (414) 443-0800.
Here’s their website and here’s a Google Map.

We will start at 7 pm, and pizza is on me. (They close at 9 on Tuesdays.) It’s a great spot.

And, in light of the timing of this final okay, perhaps not many will be able to make it, but we’ll do this again in ‘07, as well as do something in Chicago also.

Digg!    Stumble it!

  26. peloton Says:

Hey, Mark. Do you make it up to the North East very often? How about Burlington, Vermont specifically, or some place within 50-100 miles thereof? If so, when? I’d love to shake your hand! ;-) And share a meal and chat at length.

  27. NateMaynard Says:

I’d like to echo everyones request. Let me know if you are ever in San Diego and have some free time. Maybe we can grab lunch at Jake’s. In fact, you can often find me surfing out in front of Jake’s in the early am, before heading to the lab at UCSD.

    -Nate

  28. Mark Horstman Says:

    Folks-

We’re going to do our best. It will depend upon demand, my schedule, logistics, etc. We hope to visit everyone, but it’s unlikely. We’re going to do what we can.

We’re also going to have the first ever MT Effective Manager Training Conference in ‘07, planning for April now. Two days of the Manager Tools approach to managing. We’re going to limit it to 100 people for a first time, to insure lots of practice and interaction. It will likely be in Northern VA. More soon!

  29. Mark Horstman Says:

The whole surfing out in front of Jake’s is cruel and unusual. I am envious.

    Mark

  30. Mark Horstman Says:

While I don’t go to Burlington, I do go to Hartford (CT) periodically, and perhaps we could make soemthing work.

    Mark

  31. Steve Says:

    Well Mark,
If you should find it in your heart and schedule to have another meetup in the Milwaukee/Chicago area, I will definately attend. I was quite pumped afterwards and still am. I was able to use a number of techniques learned from the podcasts (including the casts regarding holiday parties, how to become part of a group/conversation, and handshakes/introductions) at a holiday party held by a vendor and they appeared to work flawlessly. Thanks again!

  32. Mark Horstman Says:

    Steve-

We’ll do it again in March, in Chicago, I think, and then again in Miwaukee in the middle of the year, perhaps.

Glad you’re getting value from our work!

    Mark

  33. rwwh Says:

The fact that I missed this meetup in Milwaukee while checking into my hotel in Madison does not mean that I would not welcome it if such a meeting would take place closer to home, somewhere in The Netherlands…. How about in my back yard? ;-)

  34. Mark Horstman Says:

    We’d like that very much!

    Mark

  35. NateMaynard Says:

I know… rough life! The hardships of a grad student in San Diego. Unfortunately, it will end sooner than I’d like.

    -Nate

  36. mgfink Says:

Any opportunity for a trip to the Minneapolis/Rochester MN area? Love the podcast!

    -Mike

  37. Mark Horstman Says:

    Mike-

We’ll certainly put it on our list. Glad you’re getting value from our work.

    Mark

  38. Chris Lewis Says:

Any plans to cross the ‘pond’ and have a meet up in London..? You do have some fans in the UK too chaps!

    Happy new year to all.

    Chris.

  39. Mark Horstman Says:

    Chris-

No, no plans… but based on interest and scheduling, Mike and I would love to in 07!

    Mark
