International Apologies

My apologies to our international members regarding my late posts today. I admit it - I forgot how early "Tuesday" starts in certain parts of the world.

I will do better.

Ah, that makes sense. Well then, I look forward to the future posts - and it's great you've got that many planned out.

And believe me, the privilege runs both ways.

All it means is that I write earlier. I have over 200 posts slated to write (and 50 more pending to be added to that list), so it's just moving up my schedule so Italy and maybe even India can think Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday as well.

It's fun to write stuff on Monday and post it so that it's on Europe's desk when they get to work.

It's just me being nice, with minimal impact. I like being nice.

And hey - I never feel that the phrase "this stuff" is denigrating - it CERTAINLY wouldn't coming from you. Makes me feel like it's becoming normal.. as opposed to the language we use for more formal concepts, the stuff we haven't taken to heart yet.

It's a privilege, even across time zones.

May I suggest that, unless you have a particularly sleepless night and you're up and doing stuff anyway, or you're in some other timezone on business, that you not? It's easy enough to figure that you're on Texas time; I personally am on Florida time, and deal regularly with some folks on UK time,. Australia time , and so forth. When I say "day x", it's /their/ "day x", unless, on very rare occasions we have a "by xx:xx GMT/UTC/Zulu" deadline.

That you're taking the time to do the extra posts is, to me, enough. While it would be different perhaps if you were indivdually contracted to a client in a different timezone, for this stuff (and that is NOT to denigrate "this stuff"), it's less important to worry about the timezones.

I think. :)
